Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Auraz Tech, our guides, and the Android questions readers ask us most.
About the site
Is Auraz Tech free to use?
Yes. Every guide is completely free to read — no accounts, no paywalls, no subscriptions. The site is supported by advertising, which is why you may see ad placements on some pages.
Are your Android guides tested on real phones?
Yes. Our process is to reproduce the problem on a real Android device, work through the fix step by step, and note where brands like Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo do things differently — only then do we publish. We never recommend "miracle cleaner" apps, paid boosters, or methods we haven't verified ourselves.
Do you collect my personal data?
We don't ask for accounts or personal information. Like most websites, we use standard analytics and advertising cookies to understand traffic and keep the site free — the full details are in our privacy policy. You can browse every guide without providing anything about yourself.
I found a mistake in one of your guides. How do I report it?
Please use our contact page and tell us which guide and which step is wrong or outdated for your device. Android settings move between versions and brands, so reader reports genuinely help us keep guides accurate — we verify and fix reported issues.
Can I request a guide on a topic you haven't covered?
Absolutely — reader requests shape what we publish next. Send your topic through the contact page with your phone model and Android version if relevant, and we'll consider it for an upcoming guide.
Common Android questions
Will clearing cache delete my photos or chats?
No. Clearing an app's cache only removes temporary files — your photos, chats, contacts, and logins stay untouched. The similarly named "Clear data" or "Clear storage" button is the dangerous one, because it resets the app. Our cache guide explains the difference in detail.
My phone is slow. Should I factory reset it?
A factory reset is a last resort, not a first step. Most slow phones improve dramatically from simpler fixes: freeing up storage, restarting, updating the system, and restricting misbehaving background apps. Try our speed-up checklist first — a reset is only needed if nothing else helps.
How do I transfer WhatsApp to a new phone without losing chats?
Back up your chats to Google Drive first (WhatsApp Settings → Chats → Chat backup), then restore during setup on the new phone using the same Google account and phone number. Our transfer guide covers the full process, including what to do when the restore fails.
Is it safe to install apps from outside the Play Store?
Generally, no — sideloading APKs from random websites is one of the most common ways phones get infected with malware. Stick to the Google Play Store, check app permissions before installing, and be suspicious of apps that ask for access they don't need.
Why does my battery drain so fast?
The most common causes are high screen brightness, apps running unrestricted in the background, and always-on location scanning. Check Settings → Battery → Battery usage to find the culprit, then restrict its background activity. Our battery life guide covers eleven proven fixes.
